The exciting new golf in schools programme

Tri-Golf is the brilliant new way for kids to get into golf.

Tri-Golf is the first step on the golf ladder and uses funky golf gear to help you get into golf at school. What's more, it's the great new way for you to have fun with your friends.

Suitable for all schools
It can be played in your school hall, in the playground or on the school field and it lets you discover why golf is one of the world's most enjoyed sports.

When you start your Tri-Golf programme, not only are you guaranteed great fun, but you'll also receive a super Tri-Golf Passport/activity card, which lets you check your progress as you learn new skills.

Tri-Golf has been developed by the Golf Foundation (Junior Golf' Governing Body) and is coached by PGA Professionals in schools & golf clubs around the UK.

Carefully structured, it gives youngsters the perfect introduction to the game of golf, while for those who want to further develop their new found interest in golf, it provides the perfect introduction to the renowned Young Masters Golf programme.

The Crown Golf Academy at Oak Park Golf Club uses GOLF FOUNDATION Tri-Golf Programme - which is great fun to learn golf.

Tri-Golf a 'mini' version of golf specifically for use by young children in primary and junior schools.

The introduction of Tri-Golf has made it possible for the education sector and golfing community to work closely together for the benefit of the schools, the clubs and the young people in a situation where everybody wins.

Tri-Golf is now reaching approximately 500,000 young children per year across the British Isles.

Tri-Golf is delivered through fun-based activity sessions involving large groups of youngsters. Tri-Golf has made it possible for golf to be taken into almost any environment.

Tri-Golf has been used to encourage girls to participate in sport.

Tri-Golf is helping to encourage responsible social behaviour because of golf's emphasis on honesty, integrity and good sportsmanship.

Tri-Golf has reached youngsters who would not normally have considered golf as an option. Tri-Golf has been used within schools to teach not only P.E., but also maths, citizenship and other subjects.


Tri-Golf equipment
Tri-Golf equipment is the only adapted golf resource developed specifically for use in British schools and is the safest equipment available. The equipment consists of bright plastic clubs with sponge balls. The clubs have been specially designed so that they are safe to use in the school environment and make it easy for the children to achieve success.

Does the equipment used accommodate left handed kids?

Tri-Golf equipment has been designed to cater for both right and left handed kids.

Where do the sessions take place?

The equipment has been adapted so it can be used both indoors and outdoors at school or at the Golf Course.

How much of the sessions is coaching?

The sessions are always based on fun learning activities. The children get enough help and coaching to learn how to play the game properly, before progressing on to the real golf clubs.
